You must have heard the song or heard the video and probably even sang to it in your bedroom, bathroom (like me) or at a gathering or fellowship. What ever you have done to the song, at least the name Solomon Lange is not a new one to the Nigerian music scene. The Abuja based Gospel singer stepped into lime light when his single Godiya came out a couple of years back. Now fast forward to 2013, He recently launched his sophomore album 'ALHERI" ..of course we know that! he then went ahead to announce on iroking blog about the new video...we also know that.
But here is what you did not know.
The song you "Yabo" which has gained massive wide popularity both within and around the shores (and online) was actually produced by Yola based music producer and multi talented beat maker 'Tamni Yakubu. aka T-Klex.
I guess your jaws are dropping right but the fact is Solomon Lange had an encounter with the young producer in a concert while he was at Yola, fell in love with his beats, exchanged numbers and a few weeks later he social media post read this...
TKlex started making music since early 2005 but was making beats much earlier that that. The petite sized producer who would hit his high school desk in a bid to make lyrical accompaniments has now turned it into a major revolutionary instrument and is part of the music revolution in the North east.
With more hundreds of productions to his cred this only goes to show that despite the North East beign the most underdeveloped region in Nigeria..it is definitely one of the most multi talented areas.
so the next time you here the song Yabo or watch the video, you might as well tell your friends where the mix came from.
