Investigations tell that the incident occurred when some armed robbers attacked the citizens of Nahuta near Dabi village at Ganjuwa L.G. area of Bauchi State.
At about 4am the Yan Banga (vigilante) received a call that alerted them about a robbery incident around the area. They were swift to drive to the village and were engaged in a serious gun battle. The exchange of bullets got intensified yet the robbers managed to create a distance enough for them to escape but their luck was running short.
The Vigilante played a smart move by taking a shorter route and laid ambush for the unsuspecting robbers. Upon approach, the robbers were welcomed with a rain of bullets which resulted in the death of 6 of the armed robbers one of which was already injured form previous bullet wounds.
Normalcy has returned to Ganjuwa as residents have continued about the normal activities although the Police have adviced residents to stay cautions.
