Eyewitnesses say the fire started around 6:50am on Sunday morning at the mechanic village located along Shinko driveby close to the infamous refuse dump site where the military placed a security check point. They claim the fire just started gradually and engulfed the white toyota hiace commercial bus which was brought in for repairs a night before.
Shortcuts where noticed when the flames got onto the battery compartment. Residents and mechanics fought hard to save a tractor which was attached to the burning bus by its mechanical plough. Though they eventually succeed, the bus however did not survive the inferno...

as at the time the story came i, it could not be ascertained whether the fire service department came to rescue the situation, but the fire did not spread towards the neighboring environment as residents quenched the fire repeatedly with water and detergent solutions.
