As PHCN workers in Adamawa state got set to resume work on Monday 4th of October, 2013, they were confronted with a rather queer situation.
The arena was covered by heavy security consisting of members of the police force and Civil Defense.
Members of the Union of Electricity Workers have said that until all labor issues have been resolved, no staff of the PHCN should be disengaged from service and that no staff should receive if given any letter of disengagement as directed by the National Body headquarters in Abuja.
Over 96 members of staff of the PHCN have been re-engaged in service but rest felt the screening exercise was not transparent. Thus far, the Security at the office entrance have been given a list of personnel that would be allowed access into the office premises while the rest are to be left outside.
